Artist's Description

It's always a good time when Saving Abel comes to town. December marked their second show this year at Herman's Hideaway in Denver, and their first as the headliner. I particularly like this shot because it's always a challenge to get everyone in the band in a single closeup shot.

About Chris Deutsch

Chris Deutsch

In the mid-1980s, Chris Deutsch published Front Row magazine in Denver, and did photography for a variety of other publications. For many years, he photographed almost every major show that came through Denver. His portfolio includes many great bands and performers at the peak of their careers: Van Halen, Kiss, Bon Jovi, U2, Iron Maiden & Elton John. Chris also photographed other performers like Motley Crue, Scorpions, Whitney Houston and Cyndi Lauper when they were just getting started. Sometimes there were surprises, such as when a relatively unknown band named Metallica opened for Ozzy Osbourne. There were also less well known but equally interesting performers like Yngwie Malmsteen, Will Sexton and Jello Biafra to name just a...
